Kleiner Dienstag #12

Manchmal finden sich in einem Haushalt mit drei Kindern auch amüsante Zustände. Nicht immer chaotisieren sie alles (wobei ich sagen muss, dass ein Kita-Streik nicht gerade hilft). Heute fand ich das im Badezimmer:

Sometimes you find funny things in a household with three children. It is not always chaos they produce (but I must add that a strike by kindergarten staff does not really help). This is what I found in the bathroom today.

T-Shirt 1

Auch wenn es wettertechnisch gerade nicht so aussieht, irgendwann brauchen wir T-Shirts. Also gibt es eine Serie von T-Shirts für meine Kinder. Hier ist das erste - für meine Tochter (4). Das hätte ich vermutlich nicht dazu schreiben müssen, oder?

The weather is not looking like it but one day we will need T-Shirts. That's why I am making a series of T-Shirts for my kids. Here is the first one - for my daughter (4). I probably wouldn't have neede to say that, right?

Gestern habe ich den Hauptteil von der neuen Jacke fertig gestrickt - die Wolle ist ziemlich schwer und das ging doch schon auf die Arme. Dagegen ist der Ärmel federleicht und so langsam sieht man auch wie schön die Jacke wird. Das Wetter ist auch passend - ich hoffe das bleibt nicht so kühl bis die Jacke fertig ist. - Übrigens habe ich alles aus dem vorherigen Post nochmal geribbelt, weil das Muster falsch war.

Yesterday I finished the body of the cardigan - the yarn is quite heavy and my arms were hurting. The sleeve seems rather light after that and now you can see that it will be a gorgeous jacket. The weather fits the jacket well - I hope it won't stay that cold until I have finished making it. By the way I unravelled everything you saw in the last post as the pattern was wrong.

Walking 21.2

Ich bin erst abends zum Walken gekommen und das hat extra gut getan und mir auch ein paar interessante Gedanken beschert. Deshalb laufe ich so gerne, weil ich immer gute Ideen habe. Den gesundheitlichen Aspekt finde ich auch wichtig, aber die Ideen sind sehr wertvoll. Wenn der Kopf einfach mal leer ist und sich auf anderes konzentrieren kann, passieren darin tolle Sachen. 

I found time for a walking round in the evening and this did me a world of good tonight and left some interesting thoughts. That's why I love walking, it gives me great ideas. I know that the health aspect is important but the ideas are very valuable. If the head is empty and can concentrate on other things, interesting things will happen.

Walking 21.1

Heute konnte ich mich durchs Laufen wieder richtig erden. So viele Dinge, die mir im Kopf herumschwirrten, doch nach der Runde sah zwar nichts anders aus, aber ich hatte meinen Kopf einmal leer gelaufen. Gar nicht denken kann ich nämlich so gut wie gar nicht. Der Rest des Tages verlief auch recht angenehm, so dass ich gleich zufrieden in den Feierabend gehen kann.

Today I was able to put a few things straight while walking. There are so many things going on in my head - so much to think about, things had not changed in the meanwhile but I managed to walk my head empty. The thing I cannot do is not to stop thinking. The remains of the day were quite nice so that I am approaching the end of the day in a satisfied manner.

Walking 20.1

Am Anfang der Woche habe ich gedacht, ich würde krank. Doch dank geschickt eingenommener Medikamente habe ich das vermeiden können. Während mein Sohn heute in der Fußballschule trainierte, habe ich eine Runde gedreht und dabei immer das Dortmunder Fußballstadion im Blick gehabt - leider konnte ich davon kein Foto machen, weil der Akku just in dem Moment aufgab. Aber ein schönes Foto von der Emscher gibt es.

At the beginning of this week I was expecting to become ill. But as I managed to take the right medicine I avoided this. While my son was training in the football school I was walking a nice round looking at the Dortmund Football stadium - unfortunately I couldn't take a photo as the battery turned flat. But I took a lovely photograph of the Emscher.
