Nähen / Sewing

Ich nähe ja noch nicht so lange, doch habe es als passendes Hobby zum Stricken schätzen gelernt. Am besten finde ich daran, dass es so schnell geht. Während ich beim Stricken jedes einzelne Teil  erst selber herstellen muss, nähe ich einfach meine ausgeschnittenen Stoffteile aneinander und zack habe ich einen neuen Pulli. Gut, irgendwann hoffe ich, dass ich auch komplizierte Dinge nähen kann, aber noch liegt das in der Ferne. Am Donnerstag habe ich den Vorteil der Nähmaschine genutzt und meinem Sohn noch schnell eine Tasche für die Karnevalsfeier am Freitag genäht. Kinder glücklich machen ist so schön.

I have not been sewing for such a long time but I have come to appreciate it as a good hobby alongside knitting. What I like most about it is that it can be done so quick. While I have to make every single part myself when knitting, I simply sew those pieces of cut fabric together and there is my new jumper. Well, one day I will hopefully be able to sew more complex things but this is still a while off. On Thursday I used the sewing machine and made a sweet bag for my son's carnival celebrations. I like to make kids happy.
