Puh, was für ein Monat bzw. eigentlich schon mehrere Monate sind meine Tage so voll, dass ich abends gar keine Lust mehr habe zu bloggen. Das ist eigentlich ziemlich schade, denn ich selber gucke gerne bei anderen und zeige gerne, was ich so tue. Allerdings war das auch etwas eingeschränkt, weil ich in der letzten Zeit wirklich viele Aufgaben hatte. Gestern bin ich mit den Korrekturen für dieses Schuljahr fertig geworden und dachte, dass ich mal kurz zeige, was ich für meine Tochter genäht habe. Nachdem sie im April sagte, sie werde in diesem Sommer nur Kleider tragen, musste ich ein paar sommerliche Modelle fertig stellen. Das erste aus diesen tollen Kirsch-Gesichtern ist bisher fertig geworden.
Wow, what a month or let's quite a few months this year my days have been so full that I did not feel like blogging. This a pity as I enjoy reading other blogs and showing what I am up to. Well but everything was very reduced these past months a I had many tasks to do. Yesterday I finished marking for this school year and thought I'd show you what I have made for my daughter. She announced in April that she would only wear dresses this summer so I had to make a few summer dresses. This is the first one I finished using the lovely cherry faces.

Das ist mir heute Morgen passiert:
Es ist Feiertag, ich war nicht zu früh ins Bett gegangen gestern - und dann sowas. Was habe ich also gemacht? Nach dem Aufwachen und ein bisschen stricken bin ich erstmal für fast zwei Stunden im Wald verschwunden und habe eine große Runde gedreht. Als ich nach Hause kam, haben immer noch alle geschlafen. Also wieder gestrickt. Später ging es dann frühstücken und zwar mit dem Fahrrad, weil doch gerade stadtradeln ist. Dann habe ich noch ein bisschen gearbeitet und am Abend mein Kleid fertig genäht - ich zeige euch mal den Stoff, denn Tragefotos muss ich noch machen. Die Kinder spielen noch draußen und ich kämpfe mit dem Schlaf, habe aber doch mein Sonntagsglück gefunden.
This is what happened to me this morning (see top photo). When I woke up so early in the morning I thought: "Can you believe it?". It is a bank holiday, I did not go to bed too early last night - and this is what happens. What did I do? Having woken up while knitting a few rows I went into the forest for about two hours and walked a long circuit. When I came back home everyone was still asleep. So I did some more knitting. Later one we went to have breakfast in a café - we went there by bike because of a contest which intends to save some CO2 emissions. Then I did some work and finished sewing my dress in the evening - I can only show the fabric as I have not taken any nice phots yet. The kids are still outside and I am fighting tiredness but I found my Sunday happiness today.

Eine Weile habe ich ganz viel testgestrickt - das macht mir auch wirklich sehr viel Spaß, doch irgendwie hat dann die Vernunft zu mir gesprochen. Es kam dann doch zu oft dazu, dass ich andere Strickpläne vernachlässigt habe und Wolle liegengeblieben ist. Das fand ich einfach zu schade. Nun stricke ich weniger Teststricks und es geht mir besser damit. Dieses Mal jedoch musste ich einfach mitmachen, denn beim Anblick eines der neuen Tücher von Jana (janukke) sah ich meine Version sofort vor mir. Zum Glück habe ich noch ein Plätzchen bekommen und stricke nun ganz glücklich an meinem neuen Tuch. Es ist verblüffend einfach zu stricken und auch für fortgeschrittene Anfängerinnen gut zu stricken.
I did a lot of testknitting for a while - I enjoy it very much but one day common sense spoke to me. I tended to abandon my plans and did not use yarn I had bought. This made me sad. Now I am doing less testknit and I feel a lot better. But this time I had to take part when I saw one of Jana's new scarves (janukke on ravelry). I could see my own version right in front of me. Luckily I managed to get a spot on the testknitting team and am happily knitting away on my new scarf. I knits up surprisingly easily and will be suitable for advanced beginners.
