M a n d a r i n e, der Pullover / M a n d a r i n e, the jumper

Here is the finished jumper - I did not make it for RUMS on Thursday as the collar was playing up. Somehow I was too stupid to knit it the correct way. Luckily I was allowed to knit my own collar, Jutta is a very kind person - sending her a little wave. Warm, light and beautiful, these are the adjectives I would use to describe it, but you can see for yourself.

Informationen/Facts:
Anleitung / Pattern: K&P Kleid
Designer: Hinterm Stein
Wolle / Yarn: Holst Samarkand, Farbe Marigold (164 g), Holst Titicaca, Farbe Burnt Orange (116 g), zusammen verstrickt, knitted with both yarns, NS 5.

Das orangene Strickstück / The orange piece

Some time ago I showed you my WIPs when I thought I would never ever finish them. But P i n k P a u l i e and B l u e D r e a m s are finished now and M a n d a r i n e will be finished soon. The photo shows what the sweater looked like yesterday with the first sleeve nearly finished. Today I only need 40 more rounds on the second sleeve and the collar. If I work effectively now I will have some time tonight to knit the sleeve. If this cannot motivate me ...

B e d a n k t - Socken zum Verschenken / Socks to give away

It was my son's birthday this week. He has been learning to play the clarinet for three years now. We borrowed the instrument from the local music school. Looking at the invoice the other day I was surprised to find out how much the fee is for borrowing the clarinet. I did some calculations as the fee rises with time. As my son only asked for two other things for his birthday we raised money for his own clarinet in the family. My uncle gave a larger sum. This is why I made him a pair of socks as a thank you - for my favourite uncle.

RUMS#7/14: Z w i e b e l s ö c k c h e n / Onion Socks

Today I am showing a pair of simple socks that have been finished because of a KAL in the ravelry group Opal (for Zwerger yarns). I started knitting them on the plane from Dusseldorf to Catania. I was able to bring them back to Germany because intuition told me to put them in my suitcase before checking in on Sicily. The Italian were very strict when controlling the handbags. Why it took so long to finish them is a mystery to me. But I am wearing them today.

Und sie sind ein Teil von RUMS.

RUMS#6/14: B l u e D r e a m s

I have finished my second project, the spring cardigan. Last night I sewed on the buttons. I am really happy with the way it turned out. I like the cut and the colour change worked out well. As this is part of test knitting I will give more information and show modelled photos once the pattern has been released.

Ein Muss für Wintersportfans / A must-have for fans of the winter games

I am a member of Tausendschön Sockclub for monthly specials. This month I was sent a special with a colour combination that needed explaining. These are the colours of the German delegation for the Winter Olympics. I quickly knitted a hat for my son.

Information:
Wolle / Yarn: Tausendschön Handgefärbte Sockenwolle, Februar-Unikat, Sotschi, 43 g, NS 2,5 und 3,5.

Weitere Fortschritte / More progress

Vielen Dank für die lieben Kommentare überall zu meiner P i n k P a u l i e-Jacke.

Thank you for your kind comments about my cardigan P i n k P a u l i e. I really like it and it has grown to the perfect size while wearing it. Before I will do my walking excercise I quickly wanted to show you my spring cardigan B l u e D r e a m s. I have finished the body and assume that the sleeves will be a quick in-between-knit. But see for yourselves - I just love colourchanges.
