Heute ist ein Tag des "eigentlich wollte ich". Denn ich hatte eine Walking-Runde eingeplant, jedoch hat es sich der Nachmittag anders entwickelt als geplant, obwohl es nicht geregnet hat. Stattdesssen habe ich dann einfach eine Runde mit dem Fahrrad gemacht, da ich in der Stadt auch noch etwas abzuholen und einzukaufen hatte. Davon gibt es heute Fotos. Und da es hier gerade so herrlich ruhig ist, werde ich mich anschließend aufs Sofa setzen und noch eine Runde stricken. Meine Radtour führte mich an der Ruhr entlang, denn ich wohne am Ruhrtalradweg. Immer wieder gerne schaue ich mir dieses Schild in der Altstadt an. Heute und morgen Abend ist bei uns im Städtchen Welttheater der Straße (vielleicht mag ja eine von euch kommen) und als ich mir etwas zu trinken kaufen wollte, stand "meine" Cola genau vor meiner Nase - da konnte ich nicht nein sagen.

Today is a day of "Well, I planned to ..." but then somehow everything was different. I had planned to do another round on my circuit but never got round to it despite the good weather. Then I decided to take my bike and cycle into town as I had to pick something up and buy things. I brought you some photos from my tour. I cycled along the river Ruhr as I live close to the cycle path along the river which is very popular among cyclists. The second photo shows a plaque on one of the houses in the old town saying that absolutely nothing happened there on the given date - a bit of British humour in Germany, can you believe it? Today and tomorrow our town is hosting an international open-air theatre festival - so if you don't live too far away, why don't you drop by. When I needed a drink the bottle with my name on it stood in the first row on the shelf - fate, you see?
