h&h und ich / h&h and me

Bevor ich diesen Post schreiben konnte, musste ich mich erstmal ein bisschen über Werbung informieren. Dieser Blog ist nämlich rein privater Natur, ich stehe in keiner Verbindung zu irgendeiner Firma, für die ich Werbung machen möchte. Nein, ich zeige hier einfach nur meine Hobbys und gebe Informationen zu den verwendeten Materialien. Deshalb sage ich gleich, dass dies nicht als Werbung zu verstehen ist, sondern als ein Erlebnis. Ich werde mich zur Qualität des Produkts auch nicht äußern - jedenfalls nicht hier öffentlich. So, nachdem das nun raus ist, kann ich zum eigentlichen Thema übergehen.

Ich bin ein neugieriger Mensch und habe mich deshalb sehr gefreut, dass ich eine Karte für die h&h bekam. Erwartet habe ich gar nichts, denn ich war ja nur als Begleitperson da, weil ich ja nur für den persönlichen Bedarf stricke. Zum Glück war es recht leer (gleichzeitig war das Festival in Edinburgh und die creativa in Dortmund) und so war ich sehr entspannt. Ich durfte meine Freundin Jana begleiten. So kam ich an den Ito-Stand - die Wolle fasziniert mich wegen der ungewöhnlichen Materialien. Ich habe mich sehr gefreut, dass ich einen Goodie-Bag geschenkt bekommen habe. Außerdem habe ich mich an der Ito-Bar bedient und mir zwei Garnproben mitgenommen. Außerdem konnten wir Garn teststricken. Das war eine tolle Sache. Zusätzlich bin ich mit einer japanischen Limo verwöhnt worden, aus deren Deckel man vor dem Trinken eine Murmel in den Flaschenhals drücken muss. Welchen Zweck das hat, erschließt sich mir nicht. Aber es war mal was neues. Jetzt bleibt mir nicht mehr als meine Geschenke zu zeigen und zu sagen, dass mir das japanisch einfache Design sehr gefällt.

Before writing this post I had to do some research about product placement and advertising. This blog is private as I have no affiliation with any company whatsoever for which I advertise. No, all I am doing is to show my hobbies and give information to the materials I am using. This is why I would like to tell you straight away that this is not advertising or product placement but just something that happened to me. I am not going to say anything about the quality of the product - not here in public. Right, having said that I can start with my real topic.

I am a curious person and I was so happy to be given a ticket for the h&h, a trade fair for diy in Cologne. I did not have any expectations as I was just accompanying and because I am only knitting for myself. Luckily it was quite empty (the Edinburgh yarn festival and the creativa in Dortmund were on at the same time) and so I was very relaxed. My friend Jana allowed me to shadow her all day. This is how I came to visit the Ito stand - I am fascinated by this yarn due to its unusual material. I was so happy to be given a goodie bag. I also took the liberty to take two yarn samples from the Ito yarn bar. And we testknitted some yarn. Very enjoyable. Furthermore I was treated to a Japanese lemonade which had a glass marble in the top which you had to press into the bottle before drinking. I don't know what this is good for but it is a change. Now all I can do is show my presents and tell you that I like the simplicity of the Japanese design.
