Wochen-Ufo [35] / weekly ufo [35]

Ich bin so beschäftigt, dass ich gar nicht merke, wie die Zeit dahin geht. Ich stricke auch etwas, allerdings ist ein geheimer Teststrick dabei, den ich erst später zeigen darf. An diesem Teststrickstück habe ich am Samstag viel gestrickt. Aber ein bisschen weiter sind auch die Socken gediehen, ich bin etwa in der Mitte des Fußes. Die Farben gefallen mir richtig gut und es macht Spaß die Wolle zu verstricken. Außerdem habe ich noch ein Geschenk auf den Nadeln, das ziemlich schwer ist und da sind die Socken eine gute Abwechslung.

I am so busy that I don't realise how time flies. I am also knitting but I am taking part in a secret test knit which I have to keep, well, secret. I knit a lot on this secret test piece on Saturday. But even the socks grew a little and I am in the middle of the foot. I really like the colours and enjoy knitting with the yarn. Apart from that I am working on a present which is rather heavy and so I like to pick up the sock in between.

Im Rahmen eines KAL mit Fußball-Themen möchte ich für meinen Sohn ein Paar Socken aus dieser Wolle stricken. Es stört ihn als BVB-Fan gar nicht, dass dies die Farben des FC Bayern München sind. Andererseits habe ich ansonsten ziemlich viel mit pink hier ...

I am going to use this yarn to knit a pair of socks for my son knitting along with others in a football related KAL. As a fan of Dortmund (BVB - colours are yellow and black) he doesn't mind that these are the colours of Bavaria Muinch. On the other hand I have a lot of pink sockyarn ...

Heiße Socken / Hot Socks

Wenn ich diese Socken sehe, muss ich sie eigentlich gar nicht anziehen, um heiße Füße zu bekommen. Durch die interessante Farbverteilung hat das Stricken echt Spaß gemacht. Auch dieses Paar Socken wird verschenkt. Heute Abend möchte ich das nächste Paar anschlagen, damit ich wieder was zeigen kann. Den Pulli, den ich auf den Nadeln habe, muss ich nämlich als supergeheimen Teststrick erstmal für mich behalten.

When I see these socks I don't have to put them on to get warm feet. The pooling made knitting really interesting and fun. I will also give this pair away as a birthday present. Tonight I would like to cast on the next pair to have something to show you. The sweater I am making at the moment is a top-secret test so I have to enjoy it on my own for the time being.

Heute war ich endlich wieder unterwegs auf einer richtig großen Runde durch den Wald. Dabei habe ich auch wieder neue Wege ausprobiert und Neues entdeckt. Jetzt muss ich nur noch irgendwie den Weg zum Arbeiten und Aufräumen finden.

Today I was finally back in the forrest again and walked a really long round. I tried new paths and found new things. Now I need to find a way to do some work and tidying.

Nun kommen die Fotos vom zweiten Paar Socken, die ich im Urlaub gestrickt habe. Ich habe endlich mal wieder Tausendschön-Wolle verstrickt, die ich sträflich vernachlässigt hatte. Dabei ist die so schön! Dies wird ein Geschenk, so langsam muss ich mich auf die September-Geburtstage vorbereiten und dann kommt ja schon fast Weihnachten.

Now I am showing you the photos of the second pair of socks I made during my holidays. I have used Tausendschön yarn again after a long time - I don't know why I have neglected this yarn for such a long time. It is so beautiful! This is going to be a present, as I have to prepare the birthdays in September and then it's nearly Christmas.

In den nächsten Tagen kann ich zwei Paar Socken zeigen, die im Urlaub fertig geworden sind. Einen schönen langen Schal habe ich mir noch gestrickt, doch leider ist der noch ganz geheim, aber so schön. Ich freue mich schon, wenn die Zeit reif für ihn ist. Doch heute gibt es neongrüne Socken mit neonpinken Streifen. Die habe ich für den guten Zweck gestrickt. Sie werden im Herbst zur Freezone Mannheim ziehen.

In my next posts I am showing you two pairs of socks which I knitted during my summer holiday. I also made a really nice long scarf but as it is top secret at the moment I cannot show it now but it is so beautiful. I am looking forward to sharing it with you. Today I can show you my flashy green socks with pink stripes which I made for the good cause. I will send them to Freezone Mannheim, a project looking after young people who are homeless or in danger of becoming homeless.
