Kleine Anemone / Little Anemone

In den Ferien bin ich den Füßen treu geblieben und habe für meine Tochter ein Paar Socken in Größe 26 gestrickt. Verwendet habe ich den Rest von meinem Monatsunikat Anemone (Tausendschön). Wie immer liebt meine Tochter das extra für sie Gemachte und nennt sie liebevoll Kuschelsocken.

I remained working on feet during the holidays and made a pair of socks in size 26 for my daughter. I used the leftovers of my monthly special called Anemone by Tausendschön. As always my daughter loves what was specially made for her and calls them comfy socks.

Gerade gestern ist mein zweites Paar Babyschuhe aus den Ferien fertig geworden. Mir gefällt die Farbverteilung auf diesen kleinen Strickstücken richtig gut. Wie immer nach der Anleitung von Nicole Luck, die mir sehr gut gefällt, da ich sie auswendig kann und beim Stricken nicht viel nachdenken muss. So, nun gibt es noch ein bisschen was zu tun für mich ... Einen schönen Abend allerseits!

Yesterday I finished my second pair of baby shoes which I started in the holidays. I love the distribution of colour very much on these small things. I followed Nicole Luck's pattern again which I like so much because I can memorise it easily and don't have to think so much while knitting. Right, I got some things to do now ... A good evening to everyone.

Zurück aus dem Urlaub / Back from the holidays

Wir haben die Osterferien dieses Jahr komplett für Urlaub genutzt und waren einfach nicht Zuhause, sondern an der Ostsee. Das tat richtig gut und mit dem Wetter hatten wir ja auch Glück.

In der ersten Woche musste ich noch arbeiten, doch vormittags korrigieren und nachmittags ein Ausflug ließ sich richtig gut kombinieren und so war an Karfreitag alles fertig. Zwischendurch habe ich auch ein bisschen gestrickt. Ich hatte viel Sockenwollreste eingepackt und daraus Babyschuhe gestrickt. Hier ist das erste Paar:

This year we used the complete two weeks of the Easter holidays to go away. So we were not at home but on the lovely coast of the Baltic Sea. It was really great and the weather was fine, too. You can see some photos of things we did. In the first week I had to spend some time marking but I did this in the mornings and was rewarded with an excursion in the afternoon. This went well so that I was finished by Good Friday. In between I did some knitting. I only took some leftovers of sock yarn to make baby shoes. Here is pair No.1.

Zu meiner Überraschung habe ich die Socken dann doch noch recht schnell fertig gestrickt. Das Muster macht einfach Spaß und die Wolle ist sowieso toll.

To my surprise I have managed to finish my socks quite quickly. The pattern is fun to knit and the yarn is great anyway.

Schon mal eine / Here's one to start with

Die erste Socke mit dem neuen Strang ist trotz wenig Strickzeit schon mal fertig.

Although time for knitting is rare these days I have finished the first sock using my special  Tausendschön yarn.

Angestrickt / Started knitting

Den Tausendschön-Strang musste ich sofort auf die Nadeln nehmen. Nach ein bisschen Gucken habe ich mich für die Anleitung "Orchideen-Socken" entschieden. Die sind supereinfach zu stricken und machen die Ringelsocke interessanter.

I had to start knitting the Tausendschön yarn. After a look at different patterns I decided to knit "Orchideen-Socken". It is easy peasy to knit and makes a striped sock more intersting.
