Jetzt sind Ferien und die Woche davor war ganz schön was los: Konferenz, Abschied im Kindergarten und so verschiedene Dinge, die einfach mal fertig werden sollten. Das erste Wochenende war dann Entspannung pur: keine Termine, einfach spontan entscheiden. Am Samstag waren wir mit den Kindern wandern üben für den Urlaub. Das war nett. Diese Woche ist Aufräumen dran. Heute habe ich bei meiner Tochter das Zimmer gestrichen. Morgen wird aufgeräumt und eingeräumt. Dazwischen stricke ich - natürlich. Heute möchte ich die Karo-Jacke von neulich zeigen. Ich habe nämlich den ersten Ärmel angefangen. Wolle und Jacke finde ich ganz klasse.
We are on holiday and the week before was pretty full: staff meeting, good-bye celebration in kindergarten and others things that needed doing. The first weekend was just relaxation: no appointments, just deciding on the spur of the moment. On Saturday we took the children walking to train for the summer holidays. It was very nice. This week is dedicated to tidying. Today I painted my daughter's room. Tomorrow I will tidy it and put everything back in its place. In between I knit - of course I do. Today I would like to show you my Karo cardigan from a few days ago. I have started on the first sleeve. I love yarn and pattern.
Neulich habe ich diese tolle Mohnblume gesehen. Ein Traum! So kannte ich die noch gar nicht. Also habe ich schnell mal ein Foto gemacht.
A couple of days ago I saw this lovely poopy. A beauty! I hadn't seen one like this before. So I quickly took a photo.
Ich habe an meiner Jacke gestrickt und gestrickt und gestrickt. Am Ärmel eine Änderung vorgenommen und das nicht berücksichtigt. Dann habe ich mal die Maschen gezählt und festgestellt, dass ich mal nachdenken muss. So lange und weil wir viel unterwegs waren, hatte ich dann kleinere Sachen auf der Nadel. Für diese Woche nehme ich mir dann die Weste meines Sohnes vor, die ich Ostern angefangen habe, damit er sie wenigstens noch drei Wochen anziehen kann. Dann stricke ich die nächste.

I have been busy knitting my cardigan. I changed the pattern on the arms and forgot about it. Now I counted the stitches and realised that I have to do some thinking. In the meantime and as we were out and about a lot I knit some smaller things. This week I will finished my sons vest which I started around Easter so that he can at least wear it for a few weeks.

Gestern habe ich eine Mütze gestrickt. Ich bin selber noch ganz begeistert, dass es so schnell gehen kann, denn so viel Zeit habe ich auch nicht gehabt. Meinem Sohn gefällt das Ergebnis ziemlich gut. Bei dem Regen heute hat er sie gleich mal aufgesetzt.
Yesterday I knit a beanie. I am so thrilled that it can take such a small amount of time as I didn't have that much knitting time. My son likes the result very much. He put it on this morning as it is pouring down with rain.

Heute habe ich meinen späteren Arbeitsbeginn genutzt, um direkt morgens eine Runde zu laufen - auch wenn es geregnet hat. Ich habe versucht den Regen zu fotografieren.

Heute habe ich die Fotos von der frisch gewaschenen Dexter-Jacke gemacht und bin richtig happy. Schade, dass meine Mutter nicht um die Ecke wohnt ... So muss ich noch etwas warten, bis ich weiß, wie sie ihr passt und steht. Das Stricken hat auf jeden Fall riesig viel Spaß gemacht.

Today I took some photos of the washed and dried Dexter Cardigan and I am so pleased with it. It is a pity that my mother does not live round the corner ... So I have to wait some time until I know how it fits her and if it suits her. The knitting was great fun.
